Bedroom for your housecarl is glitched and instead of getting a proper bed, it makes her sleep on the floor. The decorations are ugly and uninspired (just my opinion mind you). The main storage chest in your bedroom is backwards and opens facing the bed. The kitchen doesn't work and there's no way to cook food. The cellar with the alchemy lab and the enchanting lab is gorgeous with lots of space and areas for weapon display. Proudspire manor in Solitude is a home I love/hate. Still, there is no home cheaper it the game. Since I end up using enchanting so much more than alchemy, it drops the value of the home for me. I'd rank it about equal to Honeyside except it doesn't have an enchanting lab. Still, it's not a bad place.īreezehome in Whiterun - its a good starter home. The cellar has an alchemy and enchanting lab, as well as two mannequins and some weapon racks, but they are so dark, you can't really display much unless the weapons are enchanted and glowing. It's got a lot of storage, but it's cramped and very dark especially in the cellar. It's the only house that opens directly to the outside, so you never have to enter a city and then enter your home - you can just walk right in near the Riften Stables. It's cheap and convenient in more ways than one. Because it's so dark, decorating with soul gems, dynamo cores and other glowing items really make the place seem magical. I love stonework and it feels like your living in a big, safe cavern. It's got a huge library, a gorgeous entryway, a living room with attached dining area, a kitchen with attached dining area and a big bedroom. It's got an enchanting lab/armory and a separate alchemy lab. It's big and dark with Dwarven architecture and it's got lots of places for weapons, shields and one armor mannequin.
